“I am currently a Grade 7 student at St. Andrew’s College. I have been attending Inspiration Learning Center for 3 years now and although I am taking English and French, my tutor often helps me with other subjects as well. I got into St. Andrew’s College because of Inspiration Learning Center and their experienced tutors continue to help me maintain an overall average of 85%. I am on the honour roll at St. Andrew’s! To me, Inspiration Learning Center means success and I am confident that with their continued support, I will reach my goal of attending The University of Toronto in the future.”

“When I arrived in Canada, I attended summer school at Inspiration learning Center and they helped me get ready for my new high school. Even though I am attending public school now, I continue to attend Inspiration Learning Center to take some high school credit courses. I enjoy coming here six times a week because my teachers give me some writing ideas, help me with my homework, and teach me how to revise and edit my work. My English and Math marks have improved a lot because of Inspiration Learning Center.”

“I have been coming to Inspiration Learning since 10th grade; with this being my final year until I leave for university. I have not only gotten early acceptance for all my top choice universities, but I feel that Inspiration Learning has prepared me for success in my future of post secondary education. I am very thankful for Inspiration Learning, as I am not sure I would have gotten this far without them.”

“As a new immigrant of Canada, I had no experience with the Canadian education system. With the help of Inspiration Learning, I feel that I have overcome the language barrier and have been given the necessary fundamental tools to do well as a student in Canada. They were also a great help for the private school application services which I got accepted to Upper Canada College for Grade 7-12.”

“Inspiration Learning Center is a good place where students can express themselves by studying together. The students here feel more like they are at home than at a tutor. I have been coming here for 2 to 3 years now to study English and French. With the help of my tutors, my understanding, speaking, and writing have all improved through my learning. I feel like Inspiration Learning Center means friends, family, and gives me guidance. I am looking forward to another year of summer school here!”

“I chose Inspiration Learning Center for my children because I liked its philosophy and approach to education. I had researched other tutoring businesses including Kumon and other big names but didn’t like their philosophy. I liked the fact that Inspiration Learning Center offered tutoring programs that could follow alongside the school curriculum. I saw huge improvements in my kids. My son Luca takes French classes and I have seen a vast improvement in his ability to speak French. My daughter Madelen, who is getting tutored in math, is a lot more confident. She now tries to do math on her own, and is able to focus on the problem until she gets it correct. She has frequently commented that her tutor Timix encourages her to rely less on calculators to improve her skills. Having the one-on-one tutoring sessions were absolutely imperative for her since she received her tutor’s full attention. Her confidence in math has just shot up since attending her sessions with Timix. Even her school teachers have noticed and have commented to me that what Madelen was doing was working, especially as her grades have gone from the 40s to 80-90s! For me, Inspiration Learning Center means consistency and being able to tailor my children’s tutoring program to work with the school curriculum. It means a slew of confidence in terms of education for my children. I am very happy with my experiences at Inspiration Learning Center.”

I was born in Thornhill to Israeli parents. At home we spoke Hebrew while at school I spoke English, Hebrew, and French. This was a shock to my system and I felt overwhelmed. I really didn’t want my parents to be ashamed of me. Instead they told me that they loved me and found some people to help. I found that my problems were not that big as long as I focused on a small part at a time. I am grateful for their help.

I didn’t like tutors before because they were mean to me. I mean, I did need them but I was scared to admit I needed help. My tutor Sam heard me rushing over words that I didn’t know. Without asking he said the word clearly and had me repeat. This allowed me to “clap out” complex words, making it easier for me to be understood. For a stutter I have come a long way! I got the courage to audition for a school play and got the role!

I am new to online learning and didn’t really believe in it. When Covid hit my parents insisted that I use the time wisely and not waste it on video games. I really enjoyed the debate classes, especially since it connected to my dream as a lawyer. The students were encouraged to speak out and voice their minds. Sometimes the teacher agreed and sometimes he didn’t. I learned that its not only important to know stuff but also how to show others what you know.

For me it was easier to participate when i wasn’t forced to turn my camera on. The previous company gave me a hard time and that stopped my interest. My tutor respected my wishes and told me that I had control whether my camera was on or off. It was easier to talk without feeling judged. My self esteem went up with my grades and I decided to turn my camera on recently. I think that I have a reason to smile now, knowing my options are open.

WHEN I FIRST ARRIVED IN CANADA I WAS NERVOUS ABOUT DOING WELL IN SCHOOL AND MAKING FRIENDS. CANADA WAS VERY DIFFERENT THAN SAUDI ARABIA AND IT TOOK A LITTLE GETTING USED TO. INSTEAD OF GETTING TEASED FOR MY ACCENT, I WAS WELCOMED AND ENCOURAGED. THE MORE I FELT COMFORTABLE, THE MORE I SPOKE OUT. I ORIGINALLY CALLED FOR SOME ESSAY HELP, HAVING SPENT HOURS LOOKING AT A BRIGHT PAGE. I AM NOW AT MCGILL AND WANT TO THANK INSPIRATION FOR BELIEVING IN ME!

My son has been receiving remedial math tutoring for the past year and a half. His incredible tutors quickly assessed his needs, his strengths and weaknesses and put and individualized plan in place for him. His tutors have worked with him to fill in the gaps and to consolidate basic concepts so he could quickly move on to more complex math. He has moved up three grade levels in the past year! My son has dyslexia and the individual attention and consideration of his learning style has been the greatest investment we have made toward his education!
